Microplastics Found In Cayuga Lake (New York)

“The researchers – Christian Shaw and Gordon Middleton – made one-mile passes along the lake’s surface, keeping track of the distance with cell phones and collecting water along the way. Whenever waters were more turbulent, concentrations of microbeads appeared to go down, leading the surveyors to conclude that the buoyant plastic must have been pushed lower by wave action.” (lakescientist.com, 15/01/2015)
